FERRO CONCEPTS FCPC V5 Plate Carrier Base

The Ferro Concepts FCPC V5 Base is one of those plate carriers that doesn't try to be everything at once. It's not an overbuilt system – but rather a platform that adapts to the user.

The idea behind it is simple: equipment should enable movement, not define it. The wearer stays close to the body, reducing leverage and behaving predictably – even when speed comes into play.

Built for Movement

Many traditional carriers work perfectly well when stationary. However, differences become apparent as soon as you walk longer distances, use vehicles, or frequently change positions.

The laminate construction of the FCPC V5 reduces volume without sacrificing stability. This keeps the system stable on the body and prevents it from swinging – an effect that becomes particularly noticeable during extended wear.

Mission Dictates Gear

The FCPC V5 is intentionally not a complete loadout. It's a framework. Front flaps, placards, and cummerbunds can be changed depending on the mission without replacing the carrier itself.

Low Profile, Not Low Capability

Laser-cut MOLLE reduces material thickness and prevents unnecessary bulk. Magazines and equipment sit closer to the body, resulting in tighter and more natural transitions.

Especially in confined spaces or vehicles, this is less noticeable in terms of comfort – but rather in terms of the lack of obstruction.

Long Days, Same Setup

A garment isn't judged after the first ten minutes. What matters is how it feels after hours of wear.

The shoulder geometry is deliberately kept slim to ensure consistent rifle holds and avoid harsh transitions between equipment and weapon.

Plate Fit & Sizing

The FCPC V5 is deliberately designed for actual plate dimensions and not just nominal specifications. This allows the plate to sit closer to the body and remain stable during movement.

• Medium: Medium SAPI, ESAPI, Swimmer Plates and 10"x12" to 10"x12.5"x1"→ 25.4 × 30.5 cm to 25.4 × 31.8 × 2.54 cm
• Large: Large SAPI, ESAPI, swimmer plates up to 10.5”x13.5”x1”→ 26.7 × 34.3 × 2.54 cm

The 4-way stretch plate pocket adapts to different plate shapes and reduces play in the carrier.
