The Evolution of the FCPC V5

The Ferro Concepts FCPC V6 Plate Carrier Base builds on the FCPC V5, which set the standard for modular plate carriers for six years and paved the way for the UCAS standard. Ferro Concepts hasn't reinvented the platform, but refined it based on six years of field feedback: more precise plate pocket fit, greater security during high-intensity movement, and cleaner integration of communications equipment—without adding weight. Made for those seeking a lightweight, modular plate carrier as the foundation for their own setup.

Precision-fit plate pockets: tailored to SAPI cuts to prevent plate movement
Internal retention flap: additional inner flap keeps plates secure even under load
Snap button for front flaps: secures the front flap at the bottom during intense activity
Cable management: 13 mm (1/2") webbing on the front, dual-sided cable routing in the admin panel, prepared for the PTT Wing Kit
Increased rear surface area: additional row of laser-cut MOLLE and 3 tie-in loops per side

Size Medium is designed for SAPI and ESAPI cuts, not for standard 10" × 12" plates. The 10 × 12" ceramic plate from Ferro Concepts fits in Medium; fitment cannot be guaranteed for plates from other manufacturers due to varying thicknesses and corner cuts.

What you need additionally

The base version is the fundamental platform. For an operational setup, the following components are required:

Plates: SAPI or ESAPI plates in the appropriate size
Cummerbund: a Ferro Concepts ADAPT cummerbund, for example the 3" Assault Cummerbund
Front Flap: an ADAPT front flap such as the Ferro Concepts Kangaroo Front Flap V2 or an industry-standard placard
Optional: a Ferro Concepts ADAPT Back Panel for additional storage on the back

Frequently Asked Questions about the FCPC V6

What is the difference to the FCPC V5?

The V6 has more precise plate pockets with an internal retention flap, a snap button to secure the front flap, more webbing for cable management, an additional MOLLE row and tie-in loops on the back, slightly shorter shoulder straps, as well as an integrated drag handle. Full compatibility with the ADAPT system remains.

Which size do I need?

The size is determined by your plates: Small for Small SAPI/ESAPI, Medium for Medium SAPI/ESAPI, Large for Large SAPI/ESAPI, and X-Large for X-Large SAPI/ESAPI. You can find the exact measurements above under Plate Sizes.

Do 10 × 12" plates fit in size Medium?

Only to a limited extent. Size Medium is designed for SAPI and ESAPI cuts. The 10 × 12" ceramic plate from Ferro Concepts fits; Ferro Concepts does not guarantee fitment for plates from other manufacturers.

Can I continue to use my existing ADAPT components?

Yes. The FCPC V6 is fully compatible with the Ferro Concepts ADAPT system and is UCAS compatible. On the front, industry-standard front flaps and placards also fit.

Are the cummerbund and front flap included?

No. The base version includes the front and back sections with shoulder straps. The cummerbund, front flap, and plates are assembled separately according to your mission profile.
