DEFEA 2025: Europe's strategic showcase for defence and security

The international defense exhibition DEFEA – Defence Exhibition Athens 2025 once again provided an impressive platform for innovations, partnerships, and geopolitical dialogue. From May 6 to 8, 2025 , government representatives, military personnel, and defense companies from around the world gathered in Athens to exchange ideas on the latest developments in defense and security technology. AND WE WERE THERE!

A meeting place for decision-makers and industry

DEFEA is far more than a product showcase. It serves as a strategic forum bringing together high-level delegations from over 70 countries. This year, the fair was once again attended by numerous ministers, chiefs of staff, and decision-makers. This constellation creates a unique environment for diplomatic discussions and economic cooperation.

Greece is leveraging its geostrategic position and close cooperation with international partners to establish itself as a defense and security hub in the Eastern Mediterranean. The presence of the Greek government and armed forces at the exhibition was accordingly strong—a clear sign of the event's importance.

Technology, innovation and industrial expertise

In several halls, over 350 exhibitors from 28 countries presented a wide range of products: from armored vehicles and combat drones to state-of-the-art communications and reconnaissance technology. Particularly striking was the commitment of companies that not only export but also cooperate and invest locally with Greek partners.

A highlight was the presentation of new unmanned systems and integrated solutions for modern threat scenarios. In panels and presentations, experts discussed topics such as cybersecurity, hybrid warfare, and NATO interoperability.

A strong presence – with a view to the future

DEFEA 2025 has impressively established itself as a central platform for European defense and security issues. It combines political relevance with technological advancement and offers companies the opportunity to position themselves in the international arena. With this event, Greece sends a strong signal: as a reliable partner in a geopolitically sensitive area – and as a bridge between East and West.
